Drummond Island: A ten minute ferry ride from DeTour across the St Mary’s River, Drummond Island provides access to cottages, motels, rentals, restaurants, stores, and miles upon miles of outdoor excitement.
Goetzville / Raber Area: You talk about unique … travel 20 to 30 minutes north to multiple small cottages built along the St Mary’s River and Raber Bay. Fish on.
Cedarville / Hessel Area: Les Cheneaux Islands are 30 minutes from DeTour and offer a small quaint community on Lake Huron with multiple motels, cabins, rentals and a fantastic marina nestled within the fabulous Les Cheneaux Islands.
Sault Ste Marie: A one hour drive north brings you to the world famous Soo Locks and many hotels, motels, restaurants, and shopping. SSM is home to the International bridge, linking Canada and America.
St Ignace: Home to the incredible Maciknac Bridge (The Mighty Mac), this community was founded in 1671, has U.P. charm and offers hotels, motels, marinas, camp grounds, restaurants, festivals … you name it. Plus St Ignace borders both Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. An easy one hour drive from DeTour.
Mackinac Island: Take a ferry from St Ignace over to Mackinac Island where you can find ample bed and breakfast lodging and a horse and buggy life style.
