State Forest Campground Overview

DeTour State Forest Campground offers fabulous beaches along Lake Huron, plus, there are walking and ORV trails linked to the area. A quick six miles out of town on M-134 to this sweet spot.
This peaceful campground is home to 21 sites for tent and small trailer use, three of which will accommodate 40-ft vehicle/trailer. Amenities include campfire rings on each site, vault toilets and potable water from well-hand pump. Sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
Olmstad Bay Turnout Overview

On the north end of Malette Park you will find this scenic turnout with a viewing platform overlooking Olmstad Bay and St Mary’s River, a picnic table with a charcoal drill, ample parking plus an information booth offering maps and flyers about DeTour and surrounding communities and eastern upper peninsula.
Public Boat Launch Overview

Located on the south end of Malette Park, family’s can enjoy a day of boating, swimming, and picnic fun; all from one sweet spot. This quiet put-in location is used by many locals for a day of fishing or channigans on their pleasure boats. The ramps are open to the public, and provide an excellent spot to launch your small boat.
