Hidden on the back side of the State Rest Stop you’ll find a great little sunning and swimming spot. Plus, the Rest Stop park offers tables, grills, and rest rooms. With ample parking, this spot is a great family gathering area on a beautiful summer day.
Olmstead Bay Turnout Overview

On the north end of Malette Park you will find this scenic turnout with a viewing platform overlooking Olmstad Bay and St Mary’s River, a picnic table with a charcoal drill, ample parking plus an information booth offering maps and flyers about DeTour and surrounding communities and eastern upper peninsula.
Public Boat Launch Overview

Located on the south end of Malette Park, family’s can enjoy a day of boating, swimming, and picnic fun; all from one sweet spot. This quiet put-in location is used by many locals for a day of fishing or channigans on their pleasure boats. The ramps are open to the public, and provide an excellent spot to launch your small boat.
